How to use a whirlpool bath

If you want to create a spa-like bathroom and enjoy the ultimate luxury bathing experience, then installing a whirlpool bath is a no-brainer. Perfect for relieving stress and relaxing muscles, whirlpool baths give you the opportunity to indulge in some proper ‘me time’ in the comfort of your own home, without needing to visit a professional spa.

At Bathshack, we supply custom-made whirlpool baths that will instantly elevate your bathroom. Manufactured to order, to ensure a bespoke bath that meets your exact specifications, all our whirlpool baths are made to the very highest standard and designed to give you the ultimate indulgent bath time experience.

Features include:

  • High-pressure water jets
  • Adjustable water speed, temperature and pressure controls
  • Spacious design
  • Incline heater
  • Colour kinetic underwater lighting
  • V-Jet drainage system
  • Phoenix Dry-run Pump Protection

If you decide to splash out on a whirlpool bath, then you’ll need to know how to use it – and the good news is that it’s fairly straightforward. At Bathshack, we supply whirlpool baths which operate from one of three systems – System A, B and C. Which one you purchase will subsequently influence how your bath operates, as each comes with slightly different features.

If you opt for System A, then we’ll place 12 jet holes around the walls of your bath, including one intake hole and two for the control buttons.

With System B we space the 12 Air Spa jets on the base of the bath, along with the operational buttons, while System C has double the number of jets set into the bath. These will be arranged on both of the bath walls and base and will also, of course, include those all-important operational buttons.

Whirlpool baths offer the ultimate relaxing, spa-like bathing experience.

Just follow the steps below to begin the ultimate relaxing bath time experience …

  • Fill the bath up with water as normal. NB If you have an inline heater then the water temperature can be preset so it will remain constant. Therefore, you won’t need to adjust this every time you use the bath.
  • Ensure that the water level is above the jets, otherwise they won’t work when you turn them on.

To operate your whirlpool bath, simply turn the dials to activate features.

  • To operate the water jets, just turn the dial to the ‘on’ position, then press the button in the centre. This will activate the jets, which will stay on until you decide to turn them off. To do this, simply press down on the centre button again and then turn the dial to the ‘off’ position.
  • Next, drain the bath as you would ordinarily. The jets will then go through a self-cleaning process within one-to-two hours of emptying the bath, so it may make noises during this time, which shouldn’t be mistaken for the bath turning on again.
  • NB Depending on which system you have, you may have more dials, to operate the additional features, but whether it’s using the air control, colour kinetic technology or jets, just give the dials a quarter-turn to activate.

Meanwhile, when it comes to adding your favourite toiletries, you can use either bath salts or low-foam bubble bath in your whirlpool tub.
