Case Study: Self-Build Bathrooms – Modern Hotel-Inspired Living

Jodie and Reece’s Self Build project in Cavan was all about creating a family home that looked stunning but also felt luxurious and comfortable. One of her key pieces of advice for anyone building or renovating is to plan ahead. 

“Always be one step ahead – you’re never too early to plan, even if people tell you it’s too soon. Bathrooms especially need you to know the end goal. If you want a wall-hung toilet or a freestanding bath, those decisions have to be made before your pipework goes in. You need to work backwards from your final vision

The ensuite  

For the ensuite, she wanted to keep the same mood and feel as the main bathroom. She opted for the Hudson Reed Touch Sensor 600mm Round Illuminated Mirror. The touch sensor technology and backlit light bring a spa-like atmosphere to the bathrooms, while the matte black frame ties in with her modern design scheme.
