Skirting Boards are essential for homes both practically and aesthetically. They form a junction between the wall and floor, concealing any uneven surfaces, joints and unsightly wiring. They also act as a buffer between the wall and floor, protecting your walls from dirt, scuffing and damage caused by kicks, knocks and furnishings. This will help keep your room looking fresh and new for longer. Our skirting Boards are easy to install and are available in a wide range of stylish finishes, so you can easily find one that complements your décor. You can also paint them if you wish, or replace them easily if damaged. This a makes our Skirting Boards a low-maintenance and inexpensive design feature for your space.
What is Scotia?
Decorative and practical, Scotia is essential for completing the installation for Solid Wood and Laminate Flooring. This flooring needs to have an expansion gap around the room - Scotia fills in this gap by fixing to the skirting board and over the top of the flooring around the perimeter of the wall. Scotia comes in two styles: one is concave, and the other is convex, also known as beading. Beading is normally made from soft wood and so requires painting after it has been installed in order to strengthen it.
