A Great Weekend at the Galway Races

Our first sponsorship at the Galway Races was a big success! There was a fantastic atmosphere as thousands gathered for an action-packed Saturday of horseracing and entertainment. We were delighted to be a part of it, and to contribute to the great buzz.

There was a lot of excitement for the Bathshack Maiden race, with Saraqael coming in first place. Jockey Billy Lee was presented with the winner’s prize by our Managing Director, Peter Dunlop. We also got an interview with TG4, where we shared our exciting plans to expand further into the Republic of Ireland (including opening up a showroom in Galway!).

The Bathshack stand was busy all Saturday as racegoers enjoyed the fun activities we had on offer. Our Duck & Hook game was a huge hit, with lots of prizes won including discounts for our sister site Tileshack, food and drinks tokens and up to €190 in fuel vouchers. Kids didn’t miss out either, as we gave out goodies like Bathshack branded notepads, pens, and rubber ducks.

Many had fun taking photos with our bathroom and horseracing emojis for Instagram. This includes Galway based influencers Edel lynch and Nicola Lavin, who we were very excited to collaborate with on the day. Edel and Nicola helped us out on the stand and made time to watch the Bathshack Maiden with us. Make sure to give them a follow on Instagram at @mrsedellynch and @all_about_rosalilla.

We also had our duck mascot’s first ever outing! Our cheeky little ducky got some local luxury chocolate from Grá Chocolates, learned how to pull the perfect pint of Guinness with Lyndon House Catering, and even placed a bet on the Bathshack Maiden. We will be running a competition soon to name the mascot, so keep an eye on our socials so you don’t miss out.
