What Have Bathshack Planned for Pride Month?

It’s officially Pride Month! It’s a time to celebrate how far the LGBTQI+ community has come, while also remembering that there is still work to be done to achieve true equality, peace and respect.

Bathshack are proud to be an inclusive company, striving to comply with the spirit and letter of equality laws. This means not only promoting equality of opportunity, but also creating a working environment where all our employees are treated with dignity and respect regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. However, we recognise that there is always room to do better. Here is what we have planned at Bathshack this Pride Month to show our support and contribute to the cause.

To educate all staff on the history and importance of Pride and LGBTQI+ inclusivity, we have launched a free companywide training course. This course covers inclusive language and the 1969 uprising at Stonewall that inspired modern LGBTQI+ rights movements & Pride marches and festivals worldwide. It also explores where Pride and LGBTQI+ rights are today and where they are heading.

In addition to this course, we have created a JustGiving page to help raise money for The Rainbow Project in NI. The Rainbow Project is a health organisation that works to improve the physical, mental & emotional health and well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual people and their families in Northern Ireland. We have kicked things off at Bathshack by making our own donation as a company. We are also asking for our staff and the public to donate anything they can possibly give this month.
